Advanced Settings

The Advanced section contains technical configuration options and critical management actions.

Accessing Advanced Settings
  1. Open Bot Studio
  2. Scroll to Advanced section
  3. Expand to see all options
Bot InformationBot URL

Your widget's unique URL:

  • Format: https://bot_xxx.w.simplechat.bot
  • Used for embedding
  • Cannot be changed
Chat ID

Your bot's unique identifier:

  • Format: bot_xxx
  • Used in API calls
  • Referenced in embed code
Telegram ConfigurationTelegram Group ID

The Telegram group where messages are sent:

  • Format: -100xxxxxxxxxx
  • Negative number starting with -100
  • Set during bot creation
Changing Telegram Group

To change your support group:

  1. Create new Telegram group
  2. Add @SimpleChatSaasBot as admin
  3. Get the new Group ID
  4. Update in Advanced settings
  5. Save changes

Warning: Changing groups may disrupt ongoing conversations.

Telegram Bot Token (Custom Mode)

If using your own Telegram bot:

  • Enter the token from @BotFather
  • Keep this secret
  • Never share publicly
Widget BehaviorAuto-Open

Configure automatic widget opening:

  • Delay: Seconds before opening
  • Once per session: Only open once
  • Disabled: Never auto-open
Sound Notifications

Enable message sounds:

  • New message sound
  • Agent reply sound
  • Can be muted by user
Mobile Behavior
  • Full-screen on mobile
  • Keyboard handling
  • Viewport adjustments
Danger ZoneDelete Bot

Permanently delete this bot:

  1. Click Delete Bot
  2. Type bot name to confirm
  3. Click Permanently Delete

What happens:

  • Bot is immediately deactivated
  • Widget stops working
  • All conversations deleted
  • Cannot be undone

Before deleting:

  • Export any needed data
  • Remove embed code from website
  • Inform your team
Pause Bot

Temporarily disable without deleting:

  • Widget shows offline message
  • Data preserved
  • Can reactivate anytime

Test your widget:

  • Click Preview in top bar
  • Opens widget in new tab
  • Shows debug info (dev console)
Clear Cache

If widget isn't updating:

  1. Clear browser cache
  2. Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R)
  3. Check for console errors
Saving Changes

Click Go Live to apply advanced settings.
