Welcome Messages

First impressions matter. Your welcome message sets the tone for the entire customer interaction.
Displayed at the top of the chat widget:
- Company name or bot name
- Brief tagline
- Online status indicator
First message shown when chat opens:
- Warm welcome
- What you can help with
- Call to action
Suggested responses to help visitors:
- Common questions
- Popular topics
- Navigation shortcuts
- 1-2 sentences maximum
- Get to the point quickly
- Avoid jargon
Good: "Hi! How can I help you today?"
Too casual: "Hey! What's up?"
Too formal: "Greetings. Please state your inquiry."
Let visitors know:
- Response time expectations
- Available hours (if applicable)
- What kind of help you offer
"Hi! Looking for something specific? I can help you find products, check order status, or answer questions."
"Welcome! Need help getting started or have a question about features? I'm here to help."
"Hello! How can we assist you today? Feel free to ask about our services or schedule an appointment."
- Go to Bot Studio → Messages
- Edit the welcome message field
- Add quick reply buttons (optional)
- Preview changes
- Save
Create welcome messages for each language:
- English
- Turkish
- German
- French
- Spanish
- Arabic
- Russian
The widget automatically shows the appropriate message based on visitor's language settings.
